Web based physiotherapy

web based physio provides personalised physiotherapy exercise programmes and advice for people with long term conditions.

web based physio is appropriate for people who suffer from neurological, cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopaedic or rheumatological conditions. It allows people the flexibility to do their own, individualised programme anytime and anywhere.

web based physio therefore provides a system to allow patients to self-manage their condition on a long term basis.

What is web based physio?

Web based physiotherapy has been developed at the University of Glasgow by experienced physiotherapists working closely with patient groups and users. It is simple, easy to use and can be accessed by patients and physiotherapists anywhere in the world!

With web based physio the patient is assessed by a physiotherapist and their individualised programme is set up. This programme may include warm up/cool down, flexibility, strengthening or balance exercises and specific exercises to improve cardiovascular fitness.  Patients log in to their unique, personalised programme which is monitored remotely by the physiotherapist and their programme can be altered remotely as appropriate.
